Are you looking to rejuvenate your skin to a more youthful appearance? IPL and Laser Genesis are unique yet similar treatments to achieve the desired look. Each service can be used alone or combined depending on the condition of your skin.
What is IPL?
Also known as a photo-facial or flash-lamp therapy, IPL is an intensely pulsed light treatment. It uses high-intensity visible light to remove the appearance of skin discoloration, wrinkles, and facial lines. The energy of the light is absorbed by the skin breaking apart the targeted cells within the lower layers, or dermis, of the skin.
What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser technology that targets heat into the skin’s outer layer, the epidermis, and dermis. The heat boosts the amount of collagen you produce which helps improve the texture of the skin. The additional collagen will help tighten the area and reduce lines and wrinkles. Repeated treatments will gradually enhance the appearance of your skin with lasting results.
Which Treatment is Best?
Both treatments will address skin problems with success, but they tackle different issues. A consultation will include a skin examination as well as address your skin goals. Depending on the problems and the severity, you may qualify for one or both of the treatments.
IPL is used to treat red spots associated with the sun, aging, acne, and rosacea whereas Laser Genesis will treat acne scarring, uneven pores, lines and wrinkles, and redness. If you have a combination of any of the above, your treatment plan may include both IPL and Laser Genesis to create a lasting, youthful appearance.
