We offer different skin resurfacing treatments based on pigmentation and your current skin condition. Our variety of peels and facials are comfortable. While chemical peels may produce peeling skin for a few days after treatment, this will not be an uncomfortable process and will diminish shortly after your procedure.

Newport Beach MedSpa’s chemical peels and facials include variations of skin-soothing and components for sloughing off dead skin, tightening, toning, and reducing cosmetic problems. Our available treatments include:

Cosmelan – A brand of chemical treatment that is intended to help reduce uneven skin pigmentation, such as brown spots, especially melasma.

Acne Lift – This resurfacing agent is a combination of salicylic and alpha hydroxy acids, which work to slow oil production that clogs pores. This treatment also contains a keratolytic agent that gently exfoliates dead skin cells and increases cellular turnover. This dual effect makes it an excellent safe and gentle peel. Perfect for grade 1-4 acne prone skin.

Jessner Peel – The Jessner peel is a unique blend of salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol. These key ingredients are indicated for sun damaged and acne prone skin. This treatment can be used by itself or in combination with others for best outcomes.

To yield best results, we often use microdermabrasion treatment before performing chemical peels. This lessens the barrier on skin, so applied products are better able to penetrate and improve skin’s appearance.

We always perform a thorough consultation prior to recommending treatment for your skin. Most treatments take 30-40 minutes, during which we apply a solution to the skin on your face, chest, hands, or neck — wherever you need it most — to promote skin re-surfacing for brighter, more even looking tone.

After treatment, skin may show some redness as dead skin cells shed. It’s important to protect skin with sunscreen and apply lotion to soothe and promote best results. Make sure your skin stays moisturized during the week following the procedure to avoid any potential complications. Results can be seen as early as a day or two after your chemical peel appointment.
